Digital Endoscopy
What is Endoscopy?
Our in-house endoscopy uses a flexible fibre-optic camera that allows us to examine the structures in the nasal cavity, throat, and lower airway. The camera allows the endoscopy to be digitally recorded for later review. Our on-farm endoscopy system uses a traditional light source and the images are viewed through an eye-piece on the endoscope.
Uses of Endoscopy
Endoscopy is often used for:
-
Screening for abnormalities during prepurchase examinations
-
Diagnosing:
-
Respiratory illness
-
Abnormal breathing
-
Unexplained nasal discharges
