Niagara Staff

Kim Kostiuk

While not blessed with a childhood filled with ponies and riding lessons, Kim was fortunate enough to be able to pursue her love of horses as a young adult.  Her first horse was a chestnut thoroughbred mare from the Fort Erie race track.  Needless to say she learned a lot in a very short amount of time (things like - never tie your horse to the top rail of a fence unless you like doing repairs and your fence needs replacing anyways).

She worked as groom/barn help, drove carriages, and boarded horses at her farm.  In the fall of 2000 Kim joined King Equine Veterinary Services as a veterinary technician and she hasn't looked back since.  During the past eight years Kim says she has had the pleasure of meeting many interesting and wonderful people and their equine companions.  Each day has brought a new experience and an opportunity for learning. When not on farm calls or in the office, Kim enjoys spending time with her husband, children and various zoo animals including her horses Willow and Toblerone and mini Cheerio.
