We are seeking a talented Marketing Assistant for a permanent, part-time position with the possibility of full-time in the future.

About Us

We are equine veterinarians and we place a strong focus on marketing. Our marketing supports our client education efforts in our belief that educated horse owners can make better decisions about the health care of their horse. Over the years we have been hired by other veterinary practices to help them with their marketing.

About You

You have the desire and ability to create engaging content for company social media platforms and online channels, including keeping social media channels updated and brand-focused, and seeking out avenues of connecting with audiences.

You are creative, mature, self-aware and resourceful and have excellent written and oral communication skills. You seek to achieve open and honest communication with the rest of the MPES team and outside clients.  You understand the value of constructive feedback and have a desire to keep learning and improving.

You have:

  • Ability to be a critical thinker, take direction and work independently
  • Proven work experience on multiple social media and digital platforms
  • Absorb information quickly and adhere to deadlines
  • Amazing organizational skills with a customer-oriented approach
  • Understanding of marketing principles and social media strategies
  • Experience with online paid advertising management, video editing, podcasting, and WordPress based websites

You will:

  • Support the marketing team and other team members
  • Assist with marketing for veterinary clinic clients
  • Assist in managing social media channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, Snap Chat and other relevant platforms including email marketing platforms.
  • Create dynamic written, graphic, and video content
  • Create content that promotes audience interaction, increases audience presence on company sites, and encourages audience participation
  • Research audience preferences, discover new trends and stay current with platform offerings
  • Assist marketing team with large projects, events, and community management
  • Work as part of a team to develop large social media campaigns
  • Analyze and report audience information and demographics, and success of existing social media projects
  • Propose new ideas and concepts for social media content
  • Monitor social media channels
  • Provide administrative support to management when required
  • Data entry and database management
  • Help conduct and collate findings from market research
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and compelling marketing campaigns
  • Report on specified metrics from different systems
  • Communicate the progress of goals and achievements to team leader
