We currently have opportunities for a total of 3 experienced equine veterinarians who have completed an internship or 3+ years of clinical equine practice to join us at each of our well-established locations:

Associate Veterinarian - Campbellville Location

About the Opportunity

This position is ideal for a veterinarian looking to practice a balanced mix of pleasure and performance horse medicine, lameness, dentistry, reproduction and emergency care in a collaborative group practice.  

The successful candidate will be a confident professional with excellent communication skills who has a high level of self-awareness and a desire to be part of a supportive team.  Applicants should understand that patient care is only part of their role and are able to build trusting relationships with horse owners and trainers by giving them peace of mind in their decisions about the health and wellness of their horses.  

Our veterinarians have a fulfilling work-life balance working on a 4-day work week, with a reasonable on call schedule, as well as access to a wide range of paid in-house and external CE opportunities.  Our competitive compensation package includes above average salary; a benefits package offering medical, dental, and life insurance coverage as well as an employee and family assistance program which provides confidential, short term counselling in a variety of areas.

Part-time Weekend Stable Hand

McKee-Pownall Equine Services is now hiring for a part-time Weekend Stable Hand to join our team at our Rehabilitation and Reproductive Facility in Schomberg. Hours are 8am – 4pm Saturday and Sunday.

Primary responsibilities of this role are general barn duties such as mucking, sweeping, feeding and turn out.  You may also be asked to hand walk and/or graze horses as well depending on needs of the patients at the facility. 
 
If you pride yourself on being fast and efficient at mucking a stall and have excellent attention to detail – we want to hear from you!
 
Horse knowledge and experience are essential for this role, and your horse handling skills will play a part in the hiring decision.  As part of our interview process, we will be conducting “working interviews” where your horse handling skills will be evaluated.
