Aspen VanWalraven Memorial Scholarship
McKee-Pownall Equine Services would like to announce the Aspen VanWalraven Memorial scholarship. Aspen, who was part of the McKee-Pownall team and a friend to everyone, participated in equestrian sport for the love of the horse. Aspen had the gift of seeing the positive in every situation and gave her unfailing support to others. She was very dear to us and an inspiration to all who knew her. This scholarship, valued at $2000, will be awarded annually to an equestrian athlete who exemplifies Aspen's qualities and ideals. This person is a compassionate individual who displays excellent sportsmanship and horsemanship qualities. The scholarship will be in the form of a Guaranteed Investment Certificate which will be put aside on behalf of the recipient. In order to receive the funds, the recipient must use the funds for post-secondary education.
