What Is Gastroscopy?
Gastroscopy is endoscopy designed specifically to view the esophogus and stomach (vs. the airways). The gastroscope is a longer version of the endoscope that allows it to reach, and provides images of the esophagus and stomach.
Uses of Gastroscopy
Gastroscopy is typically used to diagnose:
- gastric ulcers
- gastric tumors
- esophageal disorders
