COVID-19 Policy and Update

VETERINARY SERVICE RESTRICTIONS HAVE BEEN LIFTED (effective May 19th, 2020)

  • We ask that clients do not attend appointments at this time so that we can maintain proper social distancing. We are happy to bring enough help to meet your horse’s needs while communicating with you electronically. We are prepared to arrive with a veterinarian and technician as needed, with our own personal protective equipment (mask) as well as equipment such as lead shanks.
  • If a client and/or representative must be present at the appointment, we ask that they follow proper distancing protocol (2m) and wear a mask while we are at the farm.
  • If you have travelled outside of Canada or if you are showing signs of illness, fever, or coughing please excuse yourself from being at the appointment.
  • To protect the health of our veterinarians and technicians we will leave the appointment if social distancing boundaries are not enforced. We will request compliance, but if our requests for social distancing are ignored we will have to return at a more appropriate time.
  • Medication refills – we require 72 hr notice in order to refill medications. All medications must be prepaid by credit card. We will offer curbside pickup to maintain proper social distancing, simply call the office when you arrive and a staff member will leave your order outside for pickup.
  • If you have an appointment scheduled at our clinic or farm, when you arrive, please call our clinic number to check-in and remain with your horse, truck and trailer while waiting for your veterinarian. We will come welcome you into the clinic when we are ready. If you horse is wearing and bandages or blankets, we ask that you remove those prior to us picking up your horse.
  • We have instituted a no cash or cheque payment policy and ask that all appointments are paid electronically through e-transfer or using a credit card. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. If an appointment needs to be cancelled or postponed, we will do our best to reschedule in a timely manner. Our ultimate goal is to ensure the health of our clients, staff, and veterinarians so that we may continue to provide exceptional care to our patients.
